The backward roll is a very difficult skill for beginner gymnasts to learn. Here Christopher Brown from California Sports Centers shows a drill he uses to teach this basic gymnastic skill.

The head is disproportionately large relative to the rest of the body in young children. That makes backward rolling significantly more difficult.

631 Canadians are registered for World Gymnaestrada 2015, up from about 500 four years ago.

Kyle Shewfelt Gymnastics is a new club in Canada.
Business is great. The club booming. I stopped by to interview Kyle and Krystal as to “best practice” in non-competitive Gymnastics.
Though Kyle is an Olympic Gold medalist, their mission is to “become Calgary and Canada’s leader in non-competitive gymnastics programming“.
The facility is clean and bright. The vision clear to anyone who walks in the door.
