3) Balances
Balance activities are those where the centre of mass is close to the edge of the base of support. The child is at risk of falling out of the position.
If they can easily maintain a headstand, for example, it’s a support not a balance for that child.
Balance is trainable. Include many balance challenges in your lesson plans.
