teen girls who exercise get better grades

• Study found link between academic performance and exercise at 11 years old

• Improvements sustained over the long term leaving a lasting effect

The findings come from a major study by researchers in Bristol and Scotland published online in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.

If confirmed, this could have implications for public health and education policy, they said.
The research involved almost 5,000 children taking part in the Children Of The 90s study, tracking the long-term health of around 14,000 children born in the UK between 1991 and 1992 in the South West of England.
