In just a few weeks, British Gymnastics member clubs will hit a landmark 100,000 increase in recreational gymnasts since 2012. This is in England and Northern Ireland gymnastics clubs alone bringing nationwide membership to its highest yet, a total of 327,000 across the UK.
Independent industry research shows there are also now 1.1 million people participating in gymnastics across the nation each month. Growth has been driven by a participation strategy that has incorporated facility investment, developed club support and the gymnastics workforce, focused on recreational gymnastics and increased the profile of gymnastics. …
