Olympic Champion puts his daughter in Preschool
Kyle Shewfelt was the 2004 Olympic Champion on Floor.
Here’s why he put his 3-year-old daughter into Gymnastics in his own club.
Kyle:
Many people ask me if she will be an Olympic gymnast. My answer is always, “Sure, if she wants to be”. …
My biggest hope for Nora is that she finds the thing that makes her heart sing. If it’s not gymnastics, I am totally okay with that. I do, however, have a requirement that she takes gymnastics classes in her youth because of the strong foundation it will build for her future.
Here are some of the reasons why I put my daughter into gymnastics:
Role Models …
Relationship Building …
Listening and Focusing Skills …
Building Confidence …
Good Citizen Skills …
Fun! …
Community …
Physical Activity …
Physical Literacy …
Independence …
Safety and Respect …
