In just a few weeks, British Gymnastics member clubs will hit a landmark 100,000 increase in recreational gymnasts since 2012. This is in England and Northern Ireland gymnastics clubs alone bringing nationwide membership to its highest yet, a total of 327,000 across the UK.
Independent industry research shows there are also now 1.1 million people participating in gymnastics across the nation each month. Growth has been driven by a participation strategy that has incorporated facility investment, developed club support and the gymnastics workforce, focused on recreational gymnastics and increased the profile of gymnastics. …
The best way is with the feet elevated. This puts most of the weight on the shoulders and upper back, protecting the lower back.

Recreational gymnastics is a foundation sport. It teaches children to run, jump, and fall properly.
Physical literacy is the ability to know one’s body, to love movement, and to carry that through life.

I ran this kind of class 4 times a week for a year. LOVED it. Parents LOVED it. Coaches LOVED supervising.
The only issue is whether or not your insurance covers it. 😦
Sometimes school age siblings wanted to play too. Handle those situations on a case by case basis.
